The AITO Dahl-Nygaard Prize

In 2004, AITO established an annual prize in the name of the Ole-Johan Dahl and Kristen Nygaard to honor their pioneering work on object-orientation. See statutes of the prize for the award process.

Nominations

AITO is looking for nominations for the forthcoming Dahl-Nygaard Prizes for 2013. There are two awards given to a junior researcher (at most 7 years after obtaining the PhD degree) and a senior researcher. The senior researcher should have made a significant long-term contribution to the field in research or engineering. The junior researcher should have made a promising contribution to the field through a paper, a thesis, or a prototype implementation. Please send your nominations before Sep 30th, 2012, by email to dahl minus nygaard at aito dot org. Please include a short motivation, and use the subject 'Dahl-Nygaard junior nomination' or 'Dahl-Nygaard senior nomination'.
