             IEEE Software Call for Articles

            Special Issue on Software Patterns

           Submission Deadline: 15 January 2007
               Publication: July/August 2007

This special issue will review the software pattern community's
achievements and practices and assess how patterns have influenced
our thinking and practices in software development.

Articles on the following topics are of interest:

* Architecting and designing with patterns
* Impact of patterns on development processes
* Mining and evolution of patterns
* Capturing domain expertise with patterns
* Community process including shepherding and writers' workshops
* Trends in patterns and the pattern community
* Misconceptions and false promises - pattern-mania, inventions
* Teaching patterns
* Experience reports

Submissions will be peer-reviewed. Manuscripts must not exceed 5,400
words including figures and tables, which count for 200 words each.
Submissions are subject to editing for magazine style, clarity,
organization, and space.
We reserve the right to edit the title of all submissions. Be sure to
include the name of the theme you are submitting for, Software Patterns.
