Call for Proposals for Workshops and Tutorials (deadline: Oct. 31st)
====================================================================

CGO 2007

Code Generation and Optimization 2007 is seeking proposals for
workshops and tutorials to accompany the conference. CGO 2007 is
being held in San Jose, California this year. Workshops and tutorials
will be held on Sunday, March 11 and may be a half day or full day in
length.

The deadline for workshop and tutorial proposals is October 31st.
Please send all proposals to the workshops/tutorials chair, David
Tarditi (dtarditi at microsoft.com). Please start the subject line
with "CGO 2007:"

CGO brings together researchers and practitioners working on
feedback-directed optimization and back-end compilation
techniques. The conference covers optimizations for parallelism,
performance, power, and security, where that optimization occurs in
the mapping from an input (including APIs, high-level languages, byte
codes such as .NET or Java, or ISAs) to a similar or lower-level
target machine representation. For a list of topics of interest,
please see the call for papers on the Web site at http://www.cgo.org/.

We encourage members of the community to consider submitting proposals
for workshops that bring together researchers and practitioners
working on research topics of significant current interest, as well as
workshops that bring together researchers and practitioners working in
particular areas.

For workshop proposals, please include:

 * The workshop title

 * The organizers and their affiliations

 * A description of the workshop and/or a proposed call for
   participation or papers

 * The proposed length of the workshop (half day or full day.
   If half day, planned length in hours of workshop)

 * If the workshop was previously held, the number of attendees
   at the last workshop and the number of presentations or papers
   given at the workshop.

For tutorial proposals, please include:

 * The tutorial title

 * Organizers, presenters, and their affiliations

 * A description of the tutorial

 * The proposed length of the tutorial (half day or full day.
   If half day, planned length in hours of workshop)
