THIRD INTERNATIONAL MCETECH CONFERENCE ON E-TECHNOLOGIES (MCETECH2008)
JANUARY 23-25, 2008, Montreal, Canada

TECHNICAL PAPER SUBMISSION: Full papers due AUGUST 24th, Abstracts due
AUGUST 10th!!!
PROCEEDINGS PUBLISHED BY IEEE Computer Society CPS.
DESCRIPTION: MCETECH aims at bringing together researchers and
practitioners interested in exploring the many facets of Internet
technologies and applications, with a focus on the technological,
managerial, and organisational issues. Original and inter-disciplinary
approaches are highly encouraged. Authors focusing on the technological
aspects are encouraged to highlight managerial or organizational
implications of their work, and vice-versa. The proceedings will be
published by IEEE Computer Society, and will be searchable through the
major research indices/digital libraries (IEEE'Xplore, IEEE CS DL, IEE
Inspec, EI, Thomson ISI, DBLP, citeseer, etc.). The program committee
will award a "Best Paper Award" to the best paper in terms of, 1)
originality, 2) presentation, and 3) impact. The finalists will be
submitted to a special issue of a refereed journal. Members of the
program committee will shepherd these papers through the review process.
TOPICS: Submissions are invited in the following non-exhaustive list of
topics: 1) Inter-organizational processes, 2) Electronic marketplaces,
3) Web services, 4)Security and trust, 5) Middleware and infrastructure
services, 6) Internet-based collaborative work, 7) Applications, and
(new this year), 8) Open source software for e-business.
FORMAT: The conference program includes research paper sessions,
workshops, tutorials, an industrial track, and panels. This year's
edition will also include a full day event on open-source software for
e-business. We welcome contributions that deal with the extent to which
open-source e-business software helps bridge the digital divide that
exists between developed and developing countries.
