CFP: EuroSys 2008 - Glasgow, 2nd-4th April, 2008
------------------------------------------------
EuroSys 2008, the European Conference on Computer Systems, seeks
papers on all aspects of Computer Systems, especially ones crossing
traditional divides and addressing:
* All areas of operating systems and distributed systems
* Systems aspects of:
- Continuous media
- Novel uses of information technology
- Databases
- Novel user interfaces
- Dependable computing
- Parallel and concurrent computing
- Distributed algorithms
- Programming language support
- Local and distributed storage
- Real-time and embedded computing
- Management, measurement, monitoring
- Security
- Mobile and pervasive computing
- Sensor nets and tiny devices
* Experience with existing systems
* Reproduction or refutation of previous results
* Negative results
* Early ideas
EuroSys'08 welcomes submissions and attendance from all over the
world. Papers may report on: (1) The design, implementation,
evaluation and deployment of such systems. (2) New ideas: papers
nominated as "idea" papers will be held to less stringent standards
of system evaluation. (3) Experiences: for papers in this category
evaluation is paramount, and novelty less important. Authors may
designate their paper as one of the above, but need not.
To encourage diversity, any single author may submit at most two
papers. Papers authored by program committee members are held to a
significantly higher standard, and their number in the final
programme is severely restricted. Since reviewing is not double
blind, authors should include their affiliation information and full,
non-anonymized references.
Papers are reviewed by the programme committee, with the help of
outside referees. Papers will be accepted primarily for their impact
on the Systems community, and for bridging gaps between different
communities. Novelty, clarity of explanation and thorough evaluation
are additional criteria. Acceptance may be provisional, subject to
further shepherding by a member of the program committee, before
final acceptance.
Papers may not exceed 14 pages double column, including figures and
tables, and should use a 10pt font; a latex style file is available
from http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/conferences/eurosys2008/
submissions.cfm. No changes to margins, spacing, or font sizes are
allowed from those specified by the style file. Papers that violate
the submission guidelines will be automatically rejected without
consideration of their merit.
Simultaneous submission of the same work to multiple venues,
submission of previously published work, and plagiarism constitute
dishonesty and fraud. Authors uncertain whether their submission
meets ACM guidelines should contact the program chair.
