Call for papers - ASD2008

10–11 October 2008, FST Mohammedia, Morocco
http://eric.univ-lyon2.fr/~asd/asd2008/
3rd International Workshop on Decisional Systems

The International Workshop on Decisional Systems in 2008 (ASD’ 08) is
the third event of a series of workshops that began in 2006 with the aim
of bringing together researchers, developers, users, and practitioners
carrying out research and development in advanced decision support
systems (DSS) technology. The Workshop provides a forum for original
research contributions covering all conceptual, design, and
implementation aspects of DSS and ranging from applications, data mining
research issues focusing on large databases and data warehouses, and
online processing issues.
The 3rd edition (ASD' 08) will be held in Morocco and encourages in
particular, the analysis of the current decisional technology solutions
dedicated to enterprises performances management; and to discuss case
studies for improving business performance by means of developing an
integrated Data Warehousing/Knowledge Management Strategy for
enterprises.
Data Warehousing emerged initially to provide integrated information
from multiple legacy databases. This process has proved to be extremely
successful in improving DSS and providing knowledge workers with a wide
range of new analysis tools.
The objective of this third edition of the workshop is to contribute to
instigate research in this field and to create a synergy between
researchers, primarily but not exclusively Maghrebian, working in their
country or in research laboratories abroad.
The consolidation of our researchers' efforts is an asset which can
surely reinforce the existing bonds and establish new relations in order
to emerge a specialized community in the DSS field.
This workshop on the decisional systems addresses all international
experts’ community working on data warehouses to come to present, to
discuss their research works, to present their results, tools,
prototypes... It is also the opportunity to encourage PhD students
concerned with decisional systems research area, to take part in this
meeting in order to make known their works.
