- Covers all areas of software quality
The IEEE International Conference on Software Testing Verification and
Validation (ICST) is a new forum bridging research and practice in
many areas related to software quality. ICST will be composed of both
research and industry tracks, plus a large number of workshops on
specialized topics. It will cover areas such as test-driven development,
model-based software testing, domain specific testing (e.g., third party
components, databases), empirical studies of testing techniques and their
cost effectiveness, and the technology transfer of test technologies.
Other areas related to software quality assurance will also be addressed,
as described below. The charter of ICST specifies rules ensuring the
transparent, democratic, and open management of the conference.
THE ICST 2008 PROGRAM INCLUDES:
- 2 days (April 10-11) of 12 Technical Sessions featuring 37
research papers
- An industrial Track of 5 Sessions featuring 19 papers
- A student track of 9 papers
- Keynotes by Annie Combelles and Mary Jean Harrold
- Eight different workshops

evaluation of software testing techniques, benchmarks for software
testing, standards for testing, security testing, testing of
heterogeneous systems.
