Its position </DIV><DIV>on the sea and some of its neighbors (such as Portofino, 5 </DIV><DIV>Terre, Santa Margherita) makes Genova a very actractive and </DIV><DIV>pleasant place. It is easy to reach for European travellers by </DIV><DIV>both train and airplane and has numerous interesting sites for </DIV><DIV>those wishing to extend their stay beyond the summer school. </DIV><DIV>The main features of central Genoa include the Piazza de </DIV><DIV>Ferrari, around which are sited the Opera and the Palace of the </DIV><DIV>Doges. There is also a house where Christopher Columbus </DIV><DIV>putatively was born. The Strada Nuova or the Via Garibaldi, in </DIV><DIV>the old city, was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2006. </DIV><DIV>The pictures at the top of this page show some famous sights </DIV><DIV>in Genova: St. Lawrence Cathedral, Galleria Mazzini, Piazza </DIV><DIV>De Ferrari, the Lanterna (the lighthouse) and the seaport.</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>REGISTRATION FEES</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Regular:<SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">        </SPAN> 500 EUR</DIV><DIV>Students: 400 EUR</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Late registration: </DIV><DIV>Regular: 550 EUR</DIV><DIV>Students: 450 EUR</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>On-site:</DIV><DIV>Regular: 600 EUR</DIV><DIV>Students: 500 EUR</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>- Included in this fee are the following: the notes of all </DIV><DIV> lectures, access to computer labs, coffee breaks and lunch </DIV><DIV> during the summer school, and an evening social event.</DIV><DIV>- What is NOT included are travel expenses and lodging.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>REGISTRATION DEADLINES</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>Students wishing to present their research during the research </DIV><DIV>sessions are required to submit a one-page abstract of their </DIV><DIV>presentation and research.</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>- Registration deadline: June 1st, 2007</DIV><DIV>- Abstract submission deadline: June 8th, 2007</DIV><DIV>- Summer School: Monday, July 16th to Friday, July 20th, </DIV><DIV> 2007</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>REGISTRATION PROCEDURE</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">Information on how to register will be available on the web site </DIV><DIV style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; ">shortly: <A href="http://www.aosd-europe.net/summerschool">http://www.aosd-europe.net/summerschool</A></DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Any further inquiries about the summer school registration can </DIV><DIV><SPAN class="Apple-style-span">be sent to Isabel Michiels (<FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#0000EE"><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style=""><SPAN class="Apple-style-span" style="text-decoration: underline;"><A href="mailto:aosd-summer-school@vub.ac.be">aosd-summer-school@vub.ac.be</A></SPAN><FONT class="Apple-style-span" color="#000000">)</FONT></SPAN></FONT></SPAN></DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>ORGANISATION</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>The second Summer School on AOSD is an organisation </DIV><DIV>of the European Network of Excellence on AOSD </DIV><DIV>(AOSD-Europe - <A href="http://www.aosd-europe.net">http://www.aosd-europe.net</A>/).</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>General Chair: <SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre; text-align: justify; ">        </SPAN><SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre; text-align: justify; ">        </SPAN></DIV><DIV>- Theo D’Hondt (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium)</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>Program Co-chairs: <SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre; text-align: justify; ">        </SPAN><SPAN class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre; text-align: justify; ">        </SPAN></DIV><DIV>- Wouter Joosen (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium)</DIV><DIV>- Awais Rashid (Lancaster University, UK)</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>Organizing Chair:</DIV><DIV>- Walter Cazzola, DICo, Università di Milano, Italy (contact </DIV><DIV> person)</DIV><DIV>- Sonia Pini, DISI, Università di Genova, Italy</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Summer School Board:</DIV><DIV>- Wouter Joosen, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium </DIV><DIV> (chair)</DIV><DIV>- Awais Rashid, University of Lancaster, United Kingdom</DIV><DIV>- Mehmet Aksit, University of Twente, The Netherlands</DIV><DIV>- Pierre Cointe, Ecole des Mines de Nantes, France</DIV><DIV>- Lidia Fuentes, Universidad de Malaga, Spain</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Lecturers:</DIV><DIV>- Mehmet Aksit, University of Twente, The Netherlands</DIV><DIV>- Pierre Cointe, INRIA/EMN, Nantes, France</DIV><DIV>- Alessandro Garcia, University of Lancaster, UK</DIV><DIV>- Wouter Joosen, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium </DIV><DIV>- Shmuel Katz, Technion, Israel</DIV><DIV>- Mira Mezini, Technische Unversität Darmstadt, Germany</DIV><DIV>- Awais Rashid, University of Lancaster, UK</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV><DIV>The AOSD Summer School is supported by the European </DIV><DIV>Network of Excellence on Aspect-Oriented Software </DIV><DIV>Development.</DIV></BODY></HTML>
